In short: Tspoon Lab focuses on the kitchen and purchasing of restaurant groups and hotels: a sheet for each preparation, purchasing across all venues, inventories, waste and delivery notes from a photo. It sells this in two products, tspoonBack and tspoonFast, each with its own price. Weko brings invoices, the cost of each dish, orders, staff, food safety (APPCC) and bookings together in a single tool. If you run several venues and what weighs on you most is the kitchen and the stockroom, look at Tspoon Lab; if you want your whole venue in one place, look at Weko.
Tspoon Lab data checked on 16 Oct 2026 at tspoonlab.com/restauracion, tspoonlab.com/hoteles, tspoonlab.com/tspoonback, tspoonlab.com/tspoonfast, tspoonlab.com and tspoonlab.com/marketplace. We only compare what Tspoon Lab publishes on its website; if anything has changed since that date, what its page says prevails. Tspoon Lab is a trademark of its owner and has no relationship with Weko.

Price: what you pay with each
Tspoon Lab publishes its prices on each sector page, in the "Clear pricing" section ("Tarifas claras"). For restaurants:
- tspoonBack Professional: €95/month. Menu design, process management, analysis, "Digital recognition of delivery notes", 5 users and chat support.
- tspoonFast: €110/month. "Cost per preparation", task manager, and managers for purchasing, inventories and waste, 5 users and chat support.
- Enterprise: no published price ("Contact us"), for large groups and chains.
For hotels, the page swaps the first plan for tspoonBack Premium Buffet, at €250/month, and keeps tspoonFast at the same price. Neither page says whether the prices include VAT, nor does either publish a minimum term or a setup fee.
Weko's price is read live from its pricing page, with the tax shown next to the figure: Check Weko's current price on its pricing page
To compare properly, put both amounts on the same basis: with VAT or without VAT, but the same for both. And if you need both products at Tspoon Lab, add them together.
What each does with your delivery notes and your costs
Both save you from typing in what you buy. At Tspoon Lab you take a photo of the delivery note and, according to its website, the order is recorded in the system. In Weko you take a photo or upload the invoice PDF, and each product is recorded with its price and VAT.
With that data, both tell you what the food you cook costs you. Tspoon Lab calls it "Cost per preparation" and works it from very complete production sheets, with videos, photos and steps. In Weko the list of ingredients is filled in from the invoices you upload, with the latest price you were charged, and each dish's costing sheet (escandallo) uses that price to give you its cost and margin.
On suppliers, both keep the history of what they charge you. Tspoon Lab talks about tracking the historical cost per product, spotting increases and comparing rates. Weko keeps the price history of each ingredient and each supplier, so you can see when and by how much it has gone up.
Staff and day-to-day
Tspoon Lab organises work with checklists and a task manager, by day, shift or venue. Weko also lets you assign tasks to each person with a deadline, and in addition handles clocking in from a tablet at the venue or from your phone, and your team's absences and holidays, in the same tool as everything else.
Where Tspoon Lab wins
There are things Tspoon Lab does well, and it is worth saying so:
- Groups with several venues. Its restaurants page is designed for groups: it shares the menu across venues, compares results between them and detects which venue deviates on food cost.
- Inventories, waste and transfers. Its tspoonFast plan includes an inventory manager and a waste manager, and records transfers between sites (for example, from the cellar to the bar).
- POS connection. Its restaurants page talks about integrating your POS to import each day's sales, and it has an integrations page with sections for POS systems, management software and online sales.
- Orders and inventories by voice. Its app lets you place and receive orders and inventories by speaking.
- Hotels and buffets. It has its own plan for hotels (Premium Buffet) and lets you analyse "the theoretical and actual cost" of your buffets and adjust their production cycles.
- Experience. According to its website, "+2000 Clients", "+14 Years of experience", "+40 Michelin Stars" and "+20 Countries".
- Try before you decide. It offers a "no-commitment trial", although it does not say how many days it lasts.
Where Weko fits better
- APPCC in the same tool. The food safety records are done from your phone, with a photo, so you have them to hand when the inspection comes. On the Tspoon Lab pages we checked, APPCC does not appear under that name.
- Bookings. Weko collects bookings from your website, your phone and your WhatsApp, with no commission per table.
- The team too. Clocking in, absences and holidays in the same place as the invoices and the costing sheets.
- The whole venue together. Invoices, costing sheets, orders, staff, APPCC and bookings in the same place. And the price on each invoice you upload flows into the cost of your dishes by itself, with no copying by hand.
How to choose: five questions
- How many venues do you run, and do you need to compare one with another?
- Is what weighs on you most the kitchen and the stockroom (sheets, inventories, waste), or the day-to-day of the whole venue?
- Do you keep your APPCC on paper and want to move it to your phone?
- Do you need bookings without paying a commission per table, or clocking in for your team?
- How much would you pay per month, with VAT added in both cases and all the products you would use?
With those answers, the table above tells you which fits your venue better. This comparison is for information only and is based on what each company publishes on its website on the date indicated. If you are weighing up several tools, also see the Weko vs Qamarero comparison.
