Reception desk of a small hotel with a golden service bell, a key ring with keys and a vase of flowers

In short: Avirato is a very complete property management program (what is called a PMS): bookings, front desk, room cleaning, invoicing, a channel manager with more than 450 booking portals, the guest registration report (parte de viajeros) in all regions, and payments, designed for hotels, apartments and groups. It does not publish a price: it quotes according to your units. Weko is something else, more limited in scope: your own booking page by nights, calendars shared with Booking.com, Airbnb and other portals, and the guest registration report sent to SES.HOSPEDAJES, and it is aimed, according to its home page, at apartments, rural houses and hostels. If you have a hotel with a reception desk or sell through many portals at once, look at Avirato; if you want direct bookings and your guests' paperwork with no commission per night, look at Weko.

Avirato data checked on 16 Oct 2026 at avirato.com, avirato.com/planes-de-pago, kb.avirato.com/books/parte-de-viajeros and kb.avirato.com/…/hospederia. We only compare what Avirato publishes on its website; if anything has changed since that date, what its page says prevails. Avirato is a trademark of its owner and has no relationship with Weko. Price: what you pay with each

Avirato does not publish a price. Its plans page, as of 16 Oct 2026, says for Avirato Premium and for Avirato Advanced: “Quote based on your accommodation units.” For Avirato Platinum it says: “Customised proposal for groups and multi-property businesses.” It does not publish the amount, the currency, whether VAT is included, the billing period or the lock-in period.

What it does say, word for word: “No commissions and no per-user cost.” and “The first five configurations are free of charge, and training and support are free on all plans.”

What each plan includes, according to that page:

  • Avirato Premium: property management, the booking engine (also by the hour), the channel manager, the central reservations office, Avirato Payments, Avirato Intelligence, online check-in and more tools.
  • Avirato Advanced: everything in Premium plus the custom website, search engine positioning and online presence, the domain, the server and the emails, and website maintenance.
  • Avirato Platinum: everything in Advanced, with personalised consulting and solutions for businesses with several properties.

At a separate price, according to that same page: the advanced pricing management modules (occupancy forecasts and price adjustment), which Platinum already includes; the use of Avirato Payments as a service; more capacity for its artificial intelligence assistants; and the online shop (experiences, gift vouchers and products), which is included in Advanced and Platinum. Revenue, demand and occupancy reports are on all plans.

Weko's price is read live from its pricing page, with the tax shown next to the figure: Check Weko's current price on its pricing page

To compare properly, ask Avirato for its quote in writing for your number of rooms or apartments, note down which separately priced modules you need and put both amounts on the same basis: with VAT or without VAT, but the same for both.

Direct bookings and portals

Both let you sell on your own page without paying commission on the booking. Avirato calls it a “Commission-free booking engine”, also offers it by the hour and plugs it into your website, and on its own site it says “0% commission on booking engine and channel manager”. In Weko, the booking comes in through your page with a calendar by nights, and no commission is charged, per night or per stay, on the bookings that come in through it.

With portals the scope changes. Avirato's channel manager connects, according to its plans page, with more than 450 booking portals, among them Booking, Expedia and Airbnb, with availability and rates synchronised, and it is included in all three plans. Weko is not a channel manager: in Reservas → Ajustes → Ajustes generales → Conexiones (Reservations → Settings → General settings → Connections) you paste the calendar link of each portal, the one that is shared with the platform, and Weko gives it its own, in both directions. That avoids double bookings, but only the dates travel: the guest's name and the amount do not come in, and each portal re-reads the calendar at its own pace, so a change is not instant. Weko warns of this on the screen itself, and also that if your property is registered on Booking or Vrbo with a channel manager, those portals switch off the calendar and the channel manager takes over.

Guest registration report and guest paperwork

This is the clearest difference. According to Avirato's knowledge base, in Catalonia it is notified to the Mossos d'Esquadra, in the Basque Country to the Ertzaintza and in the rest of Spain to Hospedajes SES, and “in all three cases, once your accommodation is correctly configured, Avirato sends the guest registration reports automatically”. It also covers Portugal (SEF) and Andorra (ROAT).

Weko has a Guest registration section (Registro de viajeros) that appears if your business is accommodation in Spain. You turn on reporting to the authorities, save your SES.HOSPEDAJES credentials once, the guest receives a link to fill in their details before arriving and, when the booking has them, you press “Reportar” (Report). Weko sends the report only to SES.HOSPEDAJES. It does not send it to the Mossos or the Ertzaintza: if your property is in Catalonia or in the Basque Country, you make that communication through their own channels. Nor does it collect the phone number, the email address, the document support number, the town and country of residence or the payment details: you complete those yourself in SES.HOSPEDAJES.

For guest details, Avirato's knowledge base explains two routes: online check-in, in which the guest completes their registration before arriving, from their phone or their computer, and AviScan, which scans the ID card or passport and passes the data to the record without typing it by hand. Its plans page adds automatic reception. In Weko, the guest types their details into a form that they reach from a link, before arriving.

As for the tourist tax and the registration number, they do not appear on the Avirato pages that we checked. Weko does not calculate or collect the tourist tax or declare it for you: it stores on each booking the check-in, the check-out, the nights and how many people there are. Nor does it process the registration number: it has a field, “Nº de licencia turística” (tourist licence number), which is shown on your property's public page.

Where Avirato wins

There are things Avirato does well, and it is worth saying so:

  • A complete management program. Its plans page includes on all three plans property management and customer relations, reports and invoicing, room cleaning and working-hours control, a mobile app, messaging by SMS, WhatsApp and Airbnb, and a central reservations office for all your properties.
  • Booking portals. Channel manager with more than 450 portals, with availability and rates synchronised, included in all three plans. On its home page it presents itself as a certified partner of Booking.com (Connectivity Partner) and Airbnb Preferred Software Partner.
  • Guest registration report in all regions. SES.Hospedajes, Mossos d'Esquadra and Ertzaintza, as well as Portugal and Andorra. In Spain, sending is automatic once the accommodation is configured.
  • Reception and check-in. Online check-in, automatic reception and AviScan, which reads the ID card or passport so you do not type the data by hand.
  • Pricing, payments and restaurant. Revenue and occupancy reports on all plans, advanced pricing management (included in Platinum and at a separate price in Premium and Advanced), payments with Avirato Payments and a POS (TPV) for the property's restaurant.
  • Track record and set-up. “Since 2013 · +24,300 properties” and “+76 M bookings managed/year”, data migration included and support in Spanish from Monday to Sunday, 8:00 to 22:00.
  • Try it first. Its website offers a free 20-day trial of Avirato Premium, with no card.

Where Weko fits better

  • The price in plain sight. Weko's is published and you can see it in this article. Avirato quotes according to your accommodation units and does not publish any figure.
  • Direct bookings by nights, with no commission per night. Your own booking page with a calendar by nights; no commission is charged, per night or per stay, on the bookings that come in through it.
  • Calendars up to date with the portals, without setting anything else up. You paste the calendar link of each portal so that two bookings do not come in, without hiring a channel manager.
  • Guest registration report to SES.HOSPEDAJES from the booking. With your own credentials, a link for the guest and the status of each report on the booking; if your property is in Catalonia or in the Basque Country, you will have to make the communication to their police force separately.

How to choose: five questions

  1. Do you have a hotel with a reception desk and room cleaning that you want to manage in the same program, or an apartment, a rural house or a hostel?
  2. Do you sell mainly through many portals, with different rates on each, or do you want to attract direct bookings to your page?
  3. Is your property in Catalonia or in the Basque Country, where the report goes to the Mossos or the Ertzaintza?
  4. Would you rather see the price before talking to anyone, or does asking for a tailored quote suit you?
  5. How much would you pay per month, with VAT added in both cases?

With those answers, the table above tells you which fits your property better. This comparison is for information only and is based on what each company publishes on its website on the date indicated. If you are torn between several tools, also see the comparison Weko vs Lodgify.

On its home page, Avirato announces invoicing certified for Verifactu (avirato.com, checked on 16 Oct 2026). In Weko, Verifactu will come later. To find out which date applies to you and what to ask your supplier, read our guide to invoicing software for bars and restaurants.

Frequently asked questions

How much does Avirato cost?

Avirato does not publish a price. Its plans page, checked on 16 Oct 2026, says for Premium and for Advanced “Presupuesto según tus unidades alojativas.” (“Quote based on your accommodation units.”) and for Platinum “Propuesta personalizada para grupos y negocios multipropiedad.” (“Customised proposal for groups and multi-property businesses.”). It does not publish the amount, nor whether VAT is included, nor the billing period, nor the lock-in period. It does say that it charges no booking commissions and no per-user cost. To compare, ask them for the quote in writing for your rooms or apartments.

How much does Weko cost?

The price is on Weko's pricing page, and in this article it is read live from there, with the tax shown next to the figure. We do not copy it into the text so that it never goes out of date.

Does Avirato send the guest registration report to the Mossos and the Ertzaintza?

Yes, according to its knowledge base, checked on 16 Oct 2026: in Catalonia it is notified to the Mossos d'Esquadra, in the Basque Country to the Ertzaintza and in the rest of Spain to Hospedajes SES, and it says that in all three cases, “once your accommodation is correctly configured, Avirato sends the guest registration reports automatically”. Weko sends the report only to SES.HOSPEDAJES: it does not send it to the Mossos or the Ertzaintza.

Is Weko a channel manager like Avirato's?

No. Avirato offers a channel manager that, according to its plans page, connects with more than 450 booking portals with availability and rates synchronised. Weko exchanges with each portal a calendar link that the platform shares: it blocks the dates so that two bookings do not come in, but it does not bring in the guest's name or the amount, and each portal re-reads it at its own pace.

Which one suits me better for a tourist apartment or a small hotel?

It depends on how you sell. If you sell mainly through many portals, have a reception desk and want a complete management program for the property, Avirato is built for that. If what you want is your own booking page by nights, your calendars up to date with the portals and the guest registration report sent to SES.HOSPEDAJES, look at Weko. See the table and the list of questions at the end.
